I was born in the small Scottish village of Torphins near Aberdeen and after serving in the Royal Navy as a radioman joined the police force where I spent 30 memorable years.

After I retired from the police force, Jackie and I moved to Arizona in November 2004 after visiting relatives for many years and falling in love with the Phoenix area and way of life.

This is us in our younger days. You can see why Jackie was so smitten with me!

After I retired from the police force, Jackie, who was born in Windsor in the shadows of Castle, and I decided to do something that we have always dreamed of, opening our own kilt business.

Without hesitation the decision was made that Arizona was the place to realize that dream and after 3 years of research and planning the dream became a reality and Arizona Kilts was born.

Our daughters Sam and Nickie, who are still in the United Kingdom, have been and continue to be a great support throughout this new adventure.
